We are Citizens Advice East Devon
We are an independent charity and part of the national Citizens Advice network, providing free, confidential and impartial advice. Our dedicated team of 70 staff and volunteers offer a range of advice services ensuring the 150,000 residents of East Devon can contact us for advice and guidance. We give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever problem they face.
We believe that our advice should always be free. Information and Access are basic human rights.
We are not funded by Government or National Citizens Advice.
We are a small independent charity based in East Devon.
We have to raise all of our funds ourselves each year.
We are immensely grateful to Devon County Council and East Devon District Council for their fantastic support.
We have a small team of around 10 paid staff, but most of our team are volunteers. We need to keep qualified supervisors and technical experts to ensure our advice is second to none. The average
salary - we are all part time - is about £12,000. We have to pay rent for office space and utility bills just like everyone else.
We will always keep our advice free to everyone.
We want to always be accessible to everyone in East Devon.
In 2025 we generated over £4 million income for our 5,000 clients.
ONLY IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO, PLEASE DONATE AT https://gofundme.com/citizensadvice

Completing Forms
Unfortunately we are experiencing unprecedented demand for assistance with completing forms.
This includes Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Attendance Allowance (AA), Universal Credit (UC) and Disability Living Allowance (DLA). We are really sorry but we are unable to offer any assistance at the moment.
This will be reviewed. Please keep an eye on our website and social media for updates on the situation and you will also find self help guidance.
